Clarion Housing Group secures highest regulatory rating for Governance and Viability

G1 and V1 ratings come after first full year of operations.

Clarion Housing Group has today received the highest regulatory judgement for both governance and viability from the Regulator of Social Housing following their 'In Depth Assessment' (IDA) of the Group, which commenced in November 2017.

The judgement is:

   -- Governance grade: G1
   -- Viability grade: V1

The assessment considered Clarion's risk profiles, exposures, financial strengths and weaknesses, governance and the delivery of value for money. The results reflect Clarion's ongoing commitment to strong governance and financial strength in order to deliver high quality services to residents and much needed new homes.

Mark Washer, Chief Financial Officer at Clarion Housing Group, commented: "We are delighted with the findings of the Regulator following its assessment. This judgement is testament to the hard work of our Boards, Directors and staff and the importance they all place on ensuring Clarion performs to the highest possible standards. One year into our operations this judgement recognises our financial strength and the solid foundation we have established from which to deliver on our ambitions."
