French utility GDF Suez SA (GSZ.FR) is still in talks with a view to taking a 9% stake in the Nord Stream pipeline natural gas pipeline that runs below the Baltic Sea, but there is no deadline for the discussions to join the OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS)-led project, Chief Executive Gerard Mestrallet said Thursday.

Mestrallet was speaking to at the presentation of the company's first-half results.
