        Application for admission of new ordinary shares to trading


The company has today applied for 4,000 new ordinary shares of 50 pence each in
the company to be admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of
the London Stock Exchange ("Admission"). These are shares which have been issued
pursuant to the exercise of options by an employee of the Company under the
Urbium PLC Trust Replacement Share Option Scheme. Admission of such shares is
expected to occur on Friday 8 August 2003.
