SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric Car Company, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ELCR), a vehicle conversion Company that specializes in electric conversions and manufacturing for the Livery, Fleet and Private Specialty Markets, today announces that it has executed an Exclusive Distributor Agreement with Manufacturing Connection International, LLC. Agreement gives distributor exclusive rights to inventory, market and sell the Company's limousines, custom vehicles, electric conversion vehicles and limo buses in the territory of The Peoples Republic of China.

Imperial Coach Builders, a wholly owned subsidiary of Electric Car Company (ICC), will manufacture all the vehicles out of its manufacturing facility located in Springfield, MO.  According to the Agreement, the initial order will consist of 7 vehicles of any model selected by Manufacturing Connection International (MCLLC).  Initial order will be placed within one week after obtaining certification and dealer license from the Chinese government.  MCLLC has agreed to order a minimum of 5 additional vehicles per month in order to maintain exclusivity on the territory.  Payment for all vehicles will be made in full before shipment from factory to China.

MCLLC has informed the Company that they are in the final stages of certification with the Chinese government and anticipates approval within 30 to 60 days.   It is important to note that in order to obtain certification from China, manufacturers have to meet very stringent quality standards.  The Chinese certification process is going smooth due in part to Imperial Coach Builders' long standing Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) certification given to Imperial from Ford Motors. The QVM certification, respected worldwide, is awarded only to manufacturers adhering to the highest of quality and safety standards.

About Manufacturing Connection International, LLC

Manufacturing Connection International's primary business has been marketing and business development for various production equipment manufacturers and engineering services.  MCLLC currently represents companies like IPTE (an International factory automation Company headquartered in Genk, Belgium with production facilities in 13 countries).  MCLLC developed and currently manages client accounts with such companies as General Motors, Valeo and Delphi to name a few.

In 2010 MCLLC noticed that the market for luxury vehicles in China was growing significantly.  With management having over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, the Company in conjunction with a private Chinese investor decided to explore the opportunity in establishing a luxury and specialty automobile dealership network in China.

After significant due-diligence with various manufacturers, Imperial Coach Builders stood out and was chosen to compete in the Chinese market because of their quality, innovative designs and manufacturing capabilities.   It is the Company's strategy to open the first dealership in Beijing, China and expand to other provinces based on the market demand.  In addition to China MCLLC is in discussions with Imperial for other countries as well.

Mr. Gary Spaniak, CEO of Electric Car Company, Inc., states, "This is a very exciting opportunity for our Company to expand internationally." Mr. Spaniak continues by saying, "China has shown a great deal of demand for the limousine and custom luxury vehicle products and we look forward to significant growth for our shareholders."
