Puddle Of Mudd Platinum Pass Contest Gives Fans a Chance to Board
the Bus And Be the 'Fifth Member' for One Week SANTA MONICA,
Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Soon, some lucky fan will become
the fifth member of Puddle Of Mudd and enjoy a week of rock 'n'
roll glory. The Flawless/Geffen Records band is launching the
"Puddle Of Mudd Platinum Pass" contest, giving away sensational
prizes including the grand prize: being the fifth member of the
band for seven days! The winner and a guest will have their own bus
accompanying Puddle Of Mudd on tour next year, joining the band in
all their rock n' roll activities, including: oversleeping, showing
up late for meet-and-greets, and being chased by girls down hotel
hallways. The winner will also receive an autographed guitar. Ten
other top winners will each receive an autographed guitar. The
Platinum Pass contest coincides with the band's new album Life On
Display, now set for release November 25th. The winning Platinum
Pass and ten first prize passes will be enclosed in eleven random
pressings of the initial run of the cd. As extra value for
consumers, the enhanced cd features interviews with the band,
footage of the making of the album, and will also allow fans to
access exclusive content on the Puddle Of Mudd website (
http://www.puddleofmudd.com/ ), making them eligible to attend
special concerts, purchase band merchandise and more. Life On
Display was recorded in Los Angeles, with production duties shared
between John Kurzweg, Michael "Elvis" Baskette and the band
themselves. The new album's premiere single "Away From Me" went for
adds at Modern Rock, Active Rock and Rock radio on October 14th. It
was the number 1 most added song at all formats and is currently in
the top 5 at Modern Rock and Top 10 on the Active Rock charts. Life
On Display follows the phenomenal 5 million-plus sales of the
band's 2001 debut Come Clean. Come Clean spawned no less than four
#1 alternative and rock radio hit singles ("Blurry," "She Hates
Me," "Control" and "Drift And Die"), with "Blurry" becoming the
most played track on Modern Rock Radio for 2002 and scooping the
ASCAP award for most played song of the year. Puddle Of Mudd --
Wesley Scantlin (vocals, guitar), Paul Phillips (guitar), Douglas
Ardito (bass) and Greg Upchurch (drums) -- won four Billboard Music
Awards last year: Rock Artist of the Year; Modern Rock Artist of
the Year; Rock Track of the Year ("Blurry") and Modern Rock Track
of the Year ("Blurry"). Currently, you can find Puddle Of Mudd out
