JACKSON, Mich., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Consumers Energy's "Gift of Energy" certificates offer shoppers a practical gift option for a relative, neighbor, or someone in need of holiday help. The Gift of Energy certificates are ideal for senior citizens, college students, or as an anonymous gift for someone struggling to make ends meet. The Gift of Energy certificates are available at 12 credit union offices in nine cities in the Lower Peninsula. This marks the second year that the certificates have been available through selected credit union offices. Those receiving gift certificates just mail them in with their monthly Consumers Energy bill payment, and the amount of the certificate is deducted from the bill total. Certificates cannot be redeemed for cash. The certificates are available in amounts of $10, $20, $25 and $50. In addition to the credit union offices, certificates are available at Consumers Energy bill payment offices. They also can be purchased through the mail by sending a check or money order.
