                       Connaught Plc : Additional Listing

The company announces that it has today applied for admission of 3,875 new
ordinary shares of 10p each in the capital of the company to trading on the
Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange plc.

The new ordinary shares were allotted pursuant to the exercise of share options
under the SAYE Sharesave Scheme.

It is expected that dealings in the new ordinary shares will commence at 08.00
on 26 January 2004.
