STOCKHOLM, Sept. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --
Medicover has signed an agreement to acquire the centre for
genetic diagnostics of Dr. Klein, Dr. Rost and colleagues as well
as its affiliate IMGM, both located in Martinsried, near
Munich, Germany. The laboratory
has a strong position within genetic testing, pathology,
transfusion medicine, microbiology and virology and will
accordingly enhance Medicover's offering within these areas. The
acquisition will as well create a platform for further expansion in
southern Germany.
Revenue for the laboratory amounted to around 17 million euro in 2017 with a total number of
employees of 160. The transaction is subject to merger control
clearance and regulatory approvals with closing expected in
January 2019.
