ROCKVILLE, Md., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Technology Council of
Maryland (TCM) announced today that Dr. Paul M. Horn, IBM Senior
Vice President and Director of Research, would offer the keynote
address at its upcoming Visionary Luncheon on Friday, November 14,
2003 at the Bethesda Marriott. Helping to guide the company's
overall technical strategy, Horn directs IBM's worldwide research
program with 3,200 technical employees at eight sites in five
countries around the world. TCM's Visionary Luncheons are aimed to
bring the technology industry's key innovators before technology
leaders to discuss strategic issues and the promise of future
technologies. "We are very excited to welcome Paul Horn as the
featured speaker for the first program of our Visionary Luncheon
Series," said TCM President, Dyan Brasington. "Dr. Horn directs
research for one of the most dynamic companies in the world and we
are eager to hear his foresight about the expanding future of
technology and IBM." In his 22-year career with IBM, Horn has been

Technology Council of Maryland, offering more than 80 programs
annually, created the Visionary Luncheon Series as a fresh
initiative that boasts rich content and renowned industry speakers
relating to the science and technology arena. In addition to a
keynote presentation, the Visionary Luncheons provide an
opportunity for the audience to address presenters during Q & A
sessions, as well as networking with other technology business
